The solidarity group „Auswärts“ invites you to the last day of the Film festival „Aus der Nacht heraus 7“ for an evening dedicated to:

Art under Pressure: Between Freedom and State Control
Art and culture have always been tools of resistance and awareness. Today, rising authoritarianism and censorship in Europe and especially in Germany, where artists speaking on Palestine face funding cuts-threaten free expression.This event will take place on Saturday, June 28th, the fourth and final day of the festival Aus der Nacht heraus. We will discuss this important topic with actors from Berlin’s cultural scene.The cultural sector must stand firm, defend its independence, and use art to resist and highlight these difficult times-making visible what others try to silence.
The programme will start with a panel discussion followed by a musical performance and a BIIIIIIG closing fiesta.

The event will be held in English.

Every cent raised from food will go directly to support people in Gaza.
