Die Soli Gruppe „Auswärts- Εκτός Έδρας“ lädt euch zum dritten Tag des Filmfestivals „Aus der Nacht heraus 6“ zu einem Abend ein, der dem folgenden Thema gewidmet ist:
Freitag, 21. Juni 2024: Zensur und Desinformation in den Medien – Der Fall Palästina
Das Programm beginnt mit einer Podiumsdiskussion, gefolgt von einer Vorführung eines zum Thema passenden Films.

Lamprini Thoma (journalistin bei The Press Project), Yasmeen Daher, (journalistin & co-director von Febrayer), Hüseyin Dogru (journalist bei red.media), Nadija Samour (Anwältin spezialisiert auf internationales Strafrecht). Sprache: englisch

FILM: No Other Land (2024) by Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham, Rachel Szor

Die Kriminalisierung der Solidarität mit Palästina in Deutschland hat seit dem 7. Oktober völlig neue Dimensionen angenommen, da Medien und das politische Establishment sie systematisch als Antisemitismus labeln. Dies verursacht enormes soziales und politisches Unbehagen für diejenigen von uns, die in Deutschland leben und handeln. Künstler und Schriftsteller werden unter anderem wegen angeblichen Antisemitismus gecancelt, während die rechtsextreme Partei AfD und der tatsächliche Neonazismus auf dem Vormarsch sind. Während sich die Lage in Gaza und Rafah verschlimmert, bleibt die Mainstream-Medienlandschaft still, und wir als Bürger sind Zeugen eines Massakers und eines Genozids auf unseren Handys. Unser Ziel mit dieser Podiumsdiskussion ist es, von Aktivisten sowie Vertretern von Medien zu hören, um diese kritische Situation zu erörtern.

The solidarity group „Auswärts- Εκτός Έδρας“ invites you to the third day (Friday, 21. June) of the Film festival „Aus der Nacht heraus 6“ for an evening dedicated to: Censorship and Disinformation in Media ̇ the Case of Palestine

The programme will start with a panel discussion followed by a screening of the film related to the topic.

***The fourth and final event of the festival will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, featuring the theme: Political Drag from a Queer Feminist Perspective.***

Friday, 21. June 2024: Censorship and Disinformation in Media ̇ the Case of Palestine

The criminalization of solidarity with Palestine in Germany has taken on completely new dimensions since October 7th, as media and the political establishment systematically label it as antisemitism, causing tremendous social and political discomfort for those of us living and acting in Germany. Artists and writers, among others, are being canceled for alleged antisemitism, while the far-right party AfD and real neonazism are on the rise. While the situation in Gaza and Rafah is getting worse, the mainstream media remains silent , and we as citizens are spectators to a massacre and a genocide on our cell phones. Our aim through this panel discussion is to hear from activists, as well as representatives from media, to discuss this critical situation.
