The solidarity group „Auswärts“ invites you to the third day of the Film festival „Aus der Nacht heraus 7“ for an evening dedicated to:

Police violence and (in)justice
Brutal repression, human rights violations, murders, injustice — these are not isolated incidents. “There is a war going on outside”. The main targets are migrants, refugees, Roma and Sindi community, LGBTQI+ individuals and anyone who resists. This is a state mechanism structured for social control, silencing, censorship and intimidation. We invite you to the 3rd event of our 7th edition of the Aus der Nacht heraus Film Festival, to discuss on this critical issue. Our guests will share their experiences of and perspectives on police brutality in Germany and Greece and ways to resist collectively. After the panel discussion the documentary “There is a war going on outside” produced by CopWatch (GR) will follow.

The programme will start with a panel discussion followed by a screening of the film related to the topic. The event will be held in English.
